Academic Achievers/S&L Consultants is a family educational resource center that provides parents with basic skills training. Academic Achievers/S&L Consultants adult basic educational classes focus on financial independence, career development, networking techniques, job placement skills, ESL classes and parent educational support. Additionally, the basic skills program teaches adults how to prepare for employment, enhance networking and marketing skills and assess skills for employment. ESL classes teaches basic English vernacular for participants that have limited verbal communication skills related to employment. The parent education program aligns basic skills training with parent education workshops that teach parents how to guide and support their children through homework, testing, school assignments and projects.
